CoderDojo Dulwich - Free Coding Club for 7-17 & looking for mentors

Hi Everyone,

I’m organising a new coding club in Dulwich, part of CoderDojo. CoderDojo Dulwich is a free monthly coding club for children between 7 and 17. It is being hosted at The Charter School East Dulwich (next to East Dulwich Station). The first session will be on Saturday 19th January 2019. If you know anyone with children who would be interested in coming along, they can register for a free ticket at https://cddulwich.uk.

I am also looking for mentors. Mentors can be technical or non-tech. If anyone is interested in helping to mentor children when coding (giving advice, helping them problem solve etc) please get in touch via the website https://cddulwich.uk.

Hi Everyone,

Just an update from the first session in January, we had 25 kids come and code. Created some fun games in Scratch and some created some HTML pages. Have a look at the photos on the blog: https://cddulwich.uk/blog/photos-from-coderdojo-1/

I am also looking for volunteer mentors for the next session on Saturday 16th February. Mentors are both tech and non-techy people. If anyone could give up some of their time to help support it would be greatly appreciated. It’s really rewarding helping these young people create code.
