CNC routers

The Sainsmart 4040-Pro CNC router caught my attention

It seems like it’s pretty good value for money, and it might be a good addition to my school workshop - perhaps with a bed extension.

Does anyone have any experience with this or something similar?

No, but i was planning to buy one so good to know if anybody else has reviews

@Amit_Kohli copied me and got a similar machine
We have the moving Y style from that brand but it’s similar. Set your expectations well and you’ll have a great time! Great for softer materials and especially low depth of cut. The spindle is the biggest limitation in my opinion (literally a DC motor with a fan and collet) but there’s not a lot of rigidity for much more anyways. I had learned on industrial machines so I didn’t experience it first hand but seems like a great tool to learn on. CAD/CAM, gcode, feeds and speeds, it’s all there!

Looks good for the money… Agree with Kyle, that spindle… wouldn’t expect it to do much other than engraving.

I’ll use the spindle in another project and fit a trim router instead then!

Thank you for the feedback.
