One of my good friends is looking for help to make a custom foam inserts for a case, he is not a memeber (just YET) any chance we could meet with him this weekend to see if the project is suitable?

I’ve asked for the same question a couple of weeks ago and been told that it its possible and has been done before on big CNC but requires high speeds and rather special carbide tooling which is quite expensive. Foam is apparently very abrasive. Other option was to make a drag knife and do multiple passes with it.

There are cheap Chinese endmills for foam. They wouldn’t last as long, but for occasional use they might be ok for EVA. Link below.
If just cutting rather than carving, the laser might be an option to ask lasertechs.
