I picked up my fob on Saturday (thanks again!) and had hoped to spend a bit of time in the clean-room area — just to ease in, get a feel for the space.
Unfortunately, the space was in use for a teaching session when I arrived (which I totally understand!), but as I’m travelling in by train, I’d really appreciate knowing in advance when the clean-room or communal area will be free for quiet individual use.
Is there a reliable place or thread where this is normally posted? I checked around on Discourse but couldn’t find anything clearly flagged.

Other than a course like that, usually the clean room table is typically open, kind of first come first served, but most people do not book time there as there is seating for 8-10. Vs. something like the laser where it is 1 at a time.
there’s a green calendar symbol on the top right hand side, next to your profile photo.
If you click it it will show you all the dates, click on the date you’re planning to attend and select the “Space Open” booking that will give you a list of which areas & machines have been booked.
Members with shutter access generally add the Space Open booking when they know they will be opening the space, sometimes it may not show as open (though it generally is open everyday from at least 10am in my experience)
When a member is hosting an induction they will add the space open booking and book in the induction, usually at least a week ahead to make sure people are aware so it’s always good to check if you want to use a specific area or machine and are making a special journey.
