I’ve just been sharpening a chisel and these are my personal notes. Sharing them in case they might be useful to someone else.
25 degree primary angle
30 degree secondary angle
You can start off on sandpaper
You can do it all on sandpaper on float glass and different grits
Once nearly there on tough sandpaper you then want to do 300 1000 straight to strop
You’re looking for the burr on the back (which you remove with the strop)
Leather strop and green burnish compound
Make your own strop by gluing leather to mdf
25 times on strop on back
10 times on front
