Is leaving batteries charging unattended an acceptable risk ?

Good question, that has been there for days, I almost turned it off last night because it said it was done and I didn’t know how intelligent that charger is and if it would overcharge…

ditto

I just turned it off, it’s not going to get any more charged…

I think the charging batteries unattended is a question for debate (if you look around the space there’s a few e.g dyson, phones etc) - but what isn’t acceptable is leaving batteries with exposed contacts out - regardless of whether or not it’s charging or not, it is a huge fire risk. Anyone tidying up could easily leave something metal on top, causing fire.

Absolutely this should be switched off

If in any doubt that something could be a fire risk when you’re closing up – switch it off

A ‘closing up checklist’ is probably a good idea. We’ve talked about it before, now might be the time to write it down?
