I’ve cancelled the course due to a lack of participants.

Inkscape is a really useful tool for 2D design, much easier to use than CAD.
I use and teach it rather than Illustrator because it is free!

Inkscape is a general design tool, but the course will focus on specific applications appropriate for the SLMS:

  • Laser cutting
  • Embroidery
  • Vinyl cutting
  • Rug tufting
  • Screen printing

Course details

  • Time: 18:30 (for a 18:45 start) to 21:30
  • Cost: Obligatory donation (you have to donate something, but the amount is up to you)
  • Who can attend: The course is open to all members
  • Pre-requisites: No previous inductions or Inkscape experience required
  • What to bring: We will be using the makerspace laptops, so no need to bring your own.

This course is going ahead, even with just 5 participants.
However, I don’t run it often, so if you want to do it, you should book ASAP!

Hi there, I had to take me and my partners name off the list for as we can no longer be in London tomorrow due to an unforeseen circumstance. So sorry for the late change, hopefully a few more people can go, sad to miss it!
