I’ve been making some (140!!) boxes for my wedding with an iris aperture opening at the top. The mechanism is predominately made from 0.6mm veneer.
I’ve been putting together some of the boxes at home and the veneer parts are snapping (as @Jonty_Bottomley predicted).
I was wondering if anyone was around tonight or this weekend to talk me through stabilising/strengthening these parts with cactus juice resin.
I’ve never done it before and have never used a vacuum chamber either.
