Bit more space making

Well wood sorted, swept up and block lines marked.

Had to leave Jo to sorting out the long levels.

I have to ask - what is the large timber U-channel for?

You had to ask…

No idea, it’s damn heavy tho.

It’s a jig (or Jeff) for pre-fitting noggins to joists.

Clever :slightly_smiling:

Levels done all marked out redy to go tomorrow.

Just need to modify the jeff as the noggins are going in at different spacings this time

Notes on the floor and no gaps in the blocks please as the noggings are going inbetween the walls, if that is ok with tom

What do you mean by ‘no gaps in blocks?’

The 'air ’ gaps between the blocks, the noggins will be put in inbtwean the walls this time so air can go over the top.
I think it would make it easier to get them level
Have left sand amd cement in the space

But the joists have insulation between them.

Plus there’s no real structural benefit from removing the air gaps.

I can’t see why this needs reinventing.

Just thinking that it would be quicker , no other reason.

We also need deals of the wall as tit had a serport structure will need a footing

Gaps in footings please.

Messy/dusty wall bracing fin should line up with middle floor footing (ie 4.8m away from phase one)

Cool there’s block work there.

Gaps it is

Actually, its better to be 4.8m from the end of the L block wall, to get the doors in the middle . Only needs to be 2 blocks long. Ive marked the location with chalk.

The door would be best off set a bit so the middle of the room is free for the saw so we can get better clerances.

I think it should be 450mm to the front

Doors should open into the wet space for safety reasons

Please

Both options are fine by me. And yes, open into Messy. Left hand door to open flat against the fin.

Cool , how long it the fin ? And are we doing it with 6x2’s or 4x2’s i would go with 6x2 .

Can we order the meterals for the wall as i hope to build it next week

Fin’s a sheet wide.

4’.!
I am going to have to build the floor round that

Maybe we need to look at other ways to brace the wall?

4ft is pretty intrusive…remember rampgate!

The base of the wall is secured, do it’s the top that needs lateral support. The ends are easy…but the middle?

If we’re welding brackets for lighting/power/extraction…Then why not just extend them to the partition wall?
