Hey there. Immigrant from NYC here, living in Angel, Islington. Before I moved here I biked around Brooklyn & Manhattan a lot on their Citibike rideshare system. Just before moving to London, I found a Citibike basket lying on the ground. I’m real into plants too, and I initially thought I’d make it into a planter because of the draingage holes, but now I think it’d just be really cool to attach it to my bike for its original function. It’d be so useful for my backpack.
I envision this is a project for a metalworker, but let me know if anyone has other ideas. I feel like the best and most secure way to do this is by basically extending the two under-side rods to meet the bike frame at the horizontal bar that leads from the handles to the seat base.
I’d love this creative group’s suggestions for how to bring this to life.
I would love too, but lately I am really tied up with the General metal inductions in preparation of the new tool control policy, so realistically I can not be of much help beyond a chat, sorry.
