Hello,
I’m looking to make shelf brackets from bent sheet metals - possibly steel or aluminium. I would plan to have these cut to size and then use a brake press to create the 90 degree corners for the ‘tabs’ to be fixed to the wall with screws.
Is there anything in the metal workshop that could do this as don’t think there is a dedicated brake press / bender? Could the press on the back wall work if I had the correct form? @metaltechs
Apologies in advance in my terminology is off on the above

Hello!
We have a table top bending brake very similar to these
It’s currently hung on the wall next to welding (move away all the coats and you will see it)
It bolts on a pattern of holes on the big table with some M10 bolts and nuts.
That is probably the right tool for the job, although it has its limitation on what thickness you can bend and also it needs a bit of practice to get the bends in the correct spots.
Then hidraulic press would indeed work in theory, but you need to machine bespoke tools for it, and at the moment that is not included in the risk assessment, so we ask members to not do it.
If you need anything else, let us know.

Thanks Stefano, yeah that looks great as I hadn’t spotted them.
I’ll do some more researched and have a go with scrap pieces before getting something fabricated.
Appreciate it!
