Bench Multimeter for the space?

Tags: #<Tag:0x00007fa4976ac050>

I noticed the handheld multimeters we have around tend to run out of battery and get misplaced.

I wonder if we should look into a bench one, main powered, like this one?

Yeah I’ll chip in a tenner. I can’t find my portable one at home either so I need to nip in to use one.

Yay, count me in for a tenner!

Ok, I wasn’t expect a pledge as the one I posted is actually used but looks in a decent shape?

If this one looks reasonable I pledge £20 myself

I donated the space one an you made me take it away…

I have a very nice 6 digit one that needs a new mains filter, but it might be a bit to good for the space.

Send us photos, Joe!

That was the huge HP tester that needed 2 hands to be lifted? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Was only because it wasn’t used, this units are light small cheap and honestly, don’t need half electronics degree to use them.

The DMM was the same size as the unit that you are proposing and was a Philips with " multimeter" written on the front.

Possibly get some rechargeable batteries and a charger?

It’s about half the size.

Anyway, as seems like it’s not a good idea, let’s drop it.

@emuboy - this unit looks totally reasonable, and we are close on the pledges!

Thanks everyone for the ideas, reminder- at the end of the day it is up to the @electrotechs to decide what to get for the electronics area, so please be respectful and supportive.
