Arch inspection

I am a bit concerned about the general apathy regarding the looming arch inspection and am not sure the @directors are dealing with it with the gravity it deserves.

At the members meeting it was discussed that @joeatkin2 was going to the meetings regarding this. Surely this is important enough to have all directors present at the meetings. Or at least someone to go along and take notes and confirm everything discussed in writing to all parties, so there is no ambiguity of what was said or agreed.
Then report back to the membership

I have spoke to @Dermot who dealt with this situation and he has said there are experts ,engineers, etc that they have used before that could go along to the meeting (at a cost)

@dermot has said he is quite happy for the @directors to contact him as I suggested before the members meeting
(If you don’t have his number contact me and I will give it to you. )

This could be a very serious situation for the whole space and possibly could wipe out our surplus in the bank in moving costs and replacing any infrastructure when we return,.
At the minimum we are facing massive disruption and at the worse case the end of the Makerspace.

And please can the membership be notified of progress as and when it happens please, we don’t want to wait till Septembers meeting to be told the space is going to be closed for six months.

Transparency from the @directors is vital in this subject because you are the people we have voted in and trusted to do the best for the Makerspace.

Hi Mark,

We are on top of it, when there is something to communicate to the members we will, asap. We have been in touch with Dermot and Joe has been in touch with National Rail and all of us with the Arch Co.

These things don’t move super fast, which is good, but also the reason why there is not much news to share. As soon as we know more we will share!

Cheers,
Andy
