Hi
I have some planks of very expensive white European Oak. I’ve been meaning to use them to make a desk table unfortunately I’ve never really had a chance and do not have a way to flatten the surfaces.
SOme of the planks have curved a little and would like to know if it’s possible to add a jointer to the woodworking area if I am able to source it or have access to a jointer that I can use.
Note: there are two types a jointers. Pics shown below. I’m referring to the big benches for flattening wood.
Jointer for make flat wood: http://www.baileigh.com/wood-jointer-ij-655
Biscuit jointer: http://www.tesco.com/direct/silverline-biscuit-jointer-900w/212-2600.prd?skuId=212-2600&pageLevel=sku&sc_cmp=ppc_sh--sh--tesco-_-212-2600&gclid=CIO5ydeLgcsCFVIaGwodWP8BTA&gclsrc=aw.ds
There are small desktp jointers that I’m happy to purchase and donate to SLMS if there is space to accomodate them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rexon-Benchtop-Jointer-Planer-J1560A-DIY-Power-Tool-/272132179171?hash=item3f5c5784e3:g:qsEAAOSwQYZWvhbO
They tend to go on auctions for cheap as there isn’t a lot of demand for them
