I’ve whittled a small trough for the nativity project we’re working on. I’m looking to stain it and put a drop of resin in it to mimic water. It’s a rather small trough and seems a bit overkill to buy a full bottle for what I need.
If anyone has any resin knocking about it’d be greatly appreciated. Alternatively if anyone has any other ideas on how to make faux water I’m all ears.

I have a small bottle of art resin which is clear and stink-free.
I’ve not used it myself, it’s just one of those things I have in storage for the ‘right project’, the only issue is a slow cure time.
Okay, just dug it out, 200ml total volume… not a lot but I think plenty for your purpose.
Their resin may not smell but their pricing certainly stinks! That said, I’m not looking to be reimbursed for what you use.

I’ve actually just ordered a 150g ‘tester’ for £4.95 off Amazon. Should arrive in the next couple of days.
If it’s no good, I’ll come back to you to see if the one you have is still going spare.
