It was know as RepRap festival for many years but after the passing of Sanjay Mortimer of E3D fame it’s been renamed, it’s a 2 day event for 3D printing fans, many people of the will be present as well as manufacturer showing new products and people just showing their projects
I can’t be there as I’m committed to Birmingham MCM but there will be friends from Droidbuilders UK. Droidbuilders UK encourage the building of Star Wars droids (and others). 3D printing has become a big part of the droid building scene and we should have a number of 3D printed droids to view and chat about.
So, that was a complete success, I had a lot of fun, I managed to meet a bouch of cool people like Mikoláš Zuza from Prusa, Nero3D from the Voron project, Joel from 3D printing nerd, Zack from Voidstar Lab, James Bruton
from X-Robots, the CEO of Peopoly with the crazy Magneto X printer with linear motor (and that thing is cool as it gets), Ellie , the mastermind behind the amazing chocolate 3D printer Cocoapress and I can’t even remeber anyone now as I’m super tired.
But I had a blast, I learned a lot and as I suspected it’s a very nice community, I ended up donating to some of the causes, especially to the foundation themselves, everyone was so happy to answer my questions and engage, also, the oxford examination room was such a classy background to it.
