Angled unit - measurement confusion

Hi all. My first attempt at a project is going to be building a unit to fill an odd shaped space in my kitchen, but I’m struggling a bit with the maths.

In the below picture I know the lengths of sides A and B, and the purple angles. Can I use some equation/ tool to figure out the length of side C is? And then also what the lengths of the blue shelves would be?

Really wishing I paid more attention in GCSE Maths…

Draw a line parallel to the vertical red one (A) through the point in the top right corner you drew. That’ll give you a rectangle (or parallelogram if your floor isn’t horizontal) on the left, and a triangle on the right. The 3 internal angles of the triangle will equal 180. Yes C can be worked out, and can work out length of shelves if know the spacing between them (equidistant I assume) and if the shelves are straight and not on a slope.

I find those kinds of tools really helpful.

Start with the triangle I outlined in black, with side length A that you know and angle that you also know. Then use the calculator to get the length of C…

You will also get the length of the short side of that triangle. Since you know the length of B, you can calculate the length of the top shelf.

Now use the calculator, with the same angle, but instead of A, use ⅓ of A to give a smaller triangle with the second shelf as the base. You should then be able to get the length of that second shelf.

Use ⅔ of A and same procedure to get the length of the next shelf.

Amazing thanks all, I’ll have a go with this and if I’m still lost I’ll post in all the measurements I have

Another option would be to put a quick sketch together in some 3d modelling software like onshape or fusion360. If you constrain it correctly you should be able to just measure the distances and angles.

One advantage to this is if you need to add some tolerances for uneven floor or similar, you can easily update the scretch and see the new values.
