A few more from the early days:

The OG snug wall, nearly done in time for Christmas 2014

The Big Announcement Day when we made public the £20,000 grant we managed to get out of the GLA. It was on TV! (if you count a super low-budget Freeview-only local channel as “on TV”)

Last minute tidying for the Grand Opening on 26 May 2015

The very earliest incarnation of the wood workshop October 2016

ok that grant is interesting. Do we still have the emails/application we made to secure that? Understanding how we went about that could be really useful in securing future funding

It was all done via the Spacehive website so I don’t know if we actually have copies of our application. @directors might have something floating around the Gdrive…

I found some even earlier photos!

“Make Evening” 7th Dec 2012. I think we’re at St. Vincent’s community centre on Talma Road. This might be the earliest photographic evidence of SLMS unless @unknowndomain can beat me! The Inciting Incident was just 6 weeks prior.

One year later, a “Make Day” in the UAL cafe at Elephant & Castle.

This is the meeting I first attended for Brixton Tinkerspace as it was then known, given what @tomnewsom said as he left I’d assume it was his first too:

Technically it was the spawn of an exhibition called Power of Making at the V&A which had a tinker space:

Which is where this idea, coupled with the desire for a South London Hackspace came from - apparently.
