3D Printing two cases - success!

This week I managed to create two cases

A case for my GoPro, batteries, sd cards.

A case for my headphones (which oddly aren’t included or sold by the manufacturer)

I’m quite happy how they came out, I only had one print failure due to me not using the adhesive

The headphone case required axles for the hinges and clips, which weren’t included in the design. I found some scrap metal in the metal workshop and thanks to Joe’s help I cut and filed the poles and glued them in to make the axles.

Excellent! Looks great! Can you show us a pic of the bottom blue side of the case?

Are those the big Fairbuds?

Jan, yes these are the Fairphone Fairbud XLs. I switched to using them because got through numerous pairs of Bose QC headphones that kept falling apart with no repair options; the Fairbuds are sustainable and repairable so they won’t got to landfill like the Bose’s.

I took some more pictures of the bottom of case. You can see where the filament ran out and I had to switch to the different shade of blue

The lid was printed separately in the other printer and is a shade green similar to the Fairbuds. You can also see the metal rods which I super glued in place

I was in the Makerspace briefly on Friday to print some other bits, so I took the opportunity to complete the logo on the GoPro case. I really like the grippy texture on the sides of the case.
