After bargaining with my little girls and wife I’ve managed to get an evening to spend in the space. As most you know I do lot of 3d printing and every tuesday evening I will try to print at least one little Benchy boat for calibration as I’m sampling filament listed below. The left over (I estimate more than 6 meters will be left for each sample) of each sample will be donated to the space to build up a little bank of filament for members to use.

What I can do for the space:
During that evening from 8pm I will be happy to take on a max of 2 members for induction. This induction will be slightly more in depth and last for up to 2 hours (if you just want to be shown how the printer work and go onto your merry way this is not the evening for you). We will go in details into how to use the machine, understanding plastic extrusion, understanding print slicing and overview how to repair your object. This will include overview of using simple cad software like tinkercad again if you are more proficient in an other software I highly recommend you to join me on that evening to share your knowledge with other members that wishes to learn how to use 3D design software.
What you need to bring:
- Your own computer with the following software
–Cura Get the latest version
– We will use Meshlab preferably as it’s free software instead of Netfab
–Netfab basic require registration
–Online model repair require hotmail/window live login - £5 for the induction that will donated to the space.
- An open mind eager to learn
- (not mandatory but will be highly beneficial) a personal project you want to print.

Is there any specific software you’d want us to have on computers prior to the induction?
