3D printer Bed adhesive

Morning all

@3dprinters @3dtechs

Been making some morning cocktails.

We have some liquid bed adhesive made up for the area.

You will only need one or two thin layers over the build plate. Make sure the cap is put back on properly to stop it drying out.

Please wash the build plate with warm soapy water after use. Make sure the plate is rinsed and dried well.

Thanks

Sam

Thanks Sam, be interesting to see how this works.

Is it suitable for all filaments?

Should be for most. Look on Bambi’s filament comparisons charts and it will tell you what adhesives work best with which filament

Thanks Sam, I forgot to use this adhesive on an initial print on Tuesday and it failed after 20%. It was for a large square case in PLA Basic so I didn’t think it would need it, but it turned out I was wrong.

The second print using the adhesive worked a charm! :smiley:

Glad it helped. Good for large flat things and helps if the pates are slightly worn plates

This stuff’s amazing! Had a dreadful first pass where the hot PLA just adhered to the nozzle and was dragged back and forth over the plate, but a thin coating of this has led to a clean print. Is this just a case of the build plate wearing out?

Yes the coating can loose its adhesion a bit over time even if it is well cleaned. This should extend the life of the plate at a sacrifice of a sometimes worse finish on the bed face.
