110v supply

Is there a 110v supply in the space or what’s the cheapest way to make or buy one?

5amp max, probably 3a. I’ll check

There is not, what are you trying to do?

You can buy transformers for about £75…

I’ll get one of those one day. 2nd hand Ebay bargains if you collect.

The charger is 110-120v and 110w

Using my rudimentary knowledge of electricity:

watts = volts X amps

So 110watts % 110volts = 1 amp

I notice that a fair amount of modern low amp devices take 100-220v eg. Laptops, etc.

And PC power supplies often have a 110/220v switch.

How are they doing this?

I assume it’s by using a circuit similar to that in the step up/down device above?
