Where is the old Hitachi cross-cut chop saw?

Hitachi have offered to look at this and repair if possible. If successful it would be handy as a backup, or we can give it away?

Feels a bit cheeky to give it away. Can it be repurposed for eg cutting metal?

Actually personally think as the person that arranged that agreement that you should donate it to another would be space, like Surrey and Hampshire Hackspace who recently got premesis.

The reason we up graded was that we believe that it’s heavy use days are behind it

I’ve been completely straight with Hitachi, they know we’ve bought a new one (it was before Christmas that the old one gave up its ghost, so not really surprising), and I’ve also said we’ll either find a good use for it or give it to a worthy cause/space. So let’s see what happens.

Now we need a box to package it up…
