Actually, I was laughing because I’m just a bit tired of tidying up after people. There’s not enough storage generally in the space and stuff just gets left lying about all over the place. The space is a mess. We need good well marked storage in all rooms. (Personal opinion)
This could be a great project for someone. Or working group. Someone could be given responsibility for assessing storage requirements (includes consultations) and actioning.
As an over worked trustee i presume you’re in favour of delegation.
Also it could give an opportunity for more involvement and ownership to keen members.

There’s plenty of storage, but it’s a mess. The snug is full of shelving, it’s half empty and full of a load of crap that we don’t need.
The problem is that the last few clear outs have resulted in some dubious decision making because things were thrown out that belonged to people or would have been good to keep without informing the members.
We need to avoid that in any future clean ups, but in practice we should tidy up, but I think a better approach might be when the construction is finished we have a weekend of tidying up and sorting, make a big pile, let older members point out stuff that belongs to people or they want to keep.
Then after that we can have a group look at storage for things that need it.

Yes.
Shelving had to be taken down for electrics though. We probably shouldn’t despair just yet until everything is back on the walls.

There wasn’t a lot of tidying after the BBQ.
Generally most rooms have tools lying about all the time. Cups, glasses, food containers blah blah.
This isn’t helped by the lack of storage in all rooms.
Clear well marked boxes for things.
Why do we just have counter tops everywhere and no storage?

The kitchen is always a mess. There’s no storage in the kitchen.
Ditto electronics. There’s no tool boxes. Just tools lying about.
Everyone was tired most of us closing up were the people opening up.
You’re missing the point.

- People could tidy up after themselves more
