Yeah painting with emulsion, or sanding and filling the plaster board if there are any patch ups needed?
@dermot do we need to do more prep before painting the plaster board other than masking off.
Could also put the screws in the MDF in a couple more MM and fill gaps. (Unless the design of this walk has changed again)

Plasterboard can have its first coat watered down by 10 to 20%
What scews do I use?
Do I just put in more screws following the other ones vertically down in line with the other screws?
Looks like dry wall screws are the same.
And it looks like the batons go horizontal not vertically.
How many per board? 4 in totol (per width of sheet) or 3?
I’m going with 4
no need to put any more screws in, just drive the existing screws into the MDF a mm or so so the heads are slightly buried in the board.
As for the filling, All the MDF boards should have ~ 1mm gap between them (which is what I was faffing with before going home on monday). That gap needs to be filled and sanded with polyfilla.
