Viuslaizing data from atmospheric & soil sensors

Hi all!

I would like to meet makers interested in building / using sensors for testing soil, water and air quality in the city. (and link them to interesting data visualisation tools.)

I am also looking for accessible visual protocols to test elements like heavy metals in soil (Cu, Zn, Cr, Pb, Fe, As…), or gases in the Air, which do not require expensive equipment.

I am planning some workshops with gardeners, who have allotment gardens to build and their own devices/ sensors. (first one late August at Culpeper Gardens then in Leyton and Wlathamstow.)

If you know of anyone who is making such devices or is interested, do get in touch!

best
Thomas

Always fancied making a mass spectrometer…

Made a gas cromatagraph once…

Hi Joe!
Yes I saw some examples of DIY mass spectrometer (using a DVD), it looks like a lot of fun.
I’m up for trying.

My analogical chemistry is not up to date but why not . You should be able to find copper (gereen)
But if it will work at trace levels
