Training more laser trainers

I’d like to run another laser induction soon, but I’d also like to induct one or two people into the art of induction. The idea would be to go through the process with them thoroughly, then have them run the actual induction session afterwards. For this reason, the actual session will have reduced capacity.

Which of the following inductees thinks they know the machine well enough to teach others?

@tobyspark
@Glenn
@laurent_muchacho
@ben
@peter_hellyer
@matt
@GoldieRatio
@RichM
@Rory_Yeung
@jwhelpton
@AussieFred
@Rs1771
@andrew_d

Also need some people to take on the regular maintenance task of cleaning lenses, mirrors and a general clean of the machine ever week.

I’m up for being s trainer. I think I need a few more minutes cutting under my belt though. Last time I used it, it took an hour to do 5 minutes cutting…

I’d love to!

Oh wait, maybe to clarify - I’m well up for being a trainer, but might pass on the maintenance if that’s ok? It’s a bit outside my technical comfort zone (for now - but watch this space!)

I’m with Rich - at some point look forward to becoming a trainer. I need to find time to do some cutting first though. Am happy to help with cleaning too. But not having a bike is buggering up any intentions to get to the space right now.

Ditto me. Happy to become a trainer when sensible - I haven’t done a great deal of cutting yet,but have done some engraving. If I can be helpful, I’ll be helpful :smile:

Hi, I’m new and haven’t done the induction yet but I am quite experienced on different machines. Once I’ve done the induction would be happy to give some time training others if I can help.

Is it just me or are the 0.01" lines in Inkscape almost completely invisible?

I found that thicker lines would make it through. Experimentation needed

If Inkscape has an ‘outline’ view mode, that might be your friend. Something that turns off the what-you-see-is-what-you-get rendering and just draws 1px black lines.

And to answer the topic – I enjoy training. I hadn’t replied as I haven’t spent enough time down recently. Need to change that.
