The worst way to cable a main plug

I was cleaning the benches yesterday night and with @pip we agreed to move his new creation on the lounge table instead of the electronics benches.

well, long story short, this was the plug of the amplifier on the benches :

Now, I don’t know who did that but is so wrong in so many way.

There are no excuse to leave a safe hazard like this in the space.

This is unacceptable , stupid and very very dangerous.

Which amp? Not my little Tripath?

bloody hell

the gray Panasonic, I think.

At the moment I taped the wires .

Okay, if that’s donated I’ll take my stuff back and keep it safe

That’s a good point , it should be @Howard 's stuff but I have no clue if is a donation or not.

Fair point that is not good

We should get a safe block

Steve Jobs is spinning in his grave right now…

(although quicktest is awesome, if a little terrifying  )

You were right. Yes they do cause problems but would solve this problem

What would solve this problem is a 13A plug. And some common sense.

What does the safe block do, and how is it relevant to this problem?

You put the wires in and shut the lid

Members have regularly left mains plugs with the end cut off or rammed wires into things like this in order to achieve a goal rapidly, the quickplug as dangerous as it can be is less dangerous that the corner cutting that goes on.
