We’re going to have a summer party!

This can be whatever members want to make it: part open family day, picoMaker Faire with show and tell…wiggly wire competition, live music, projections…who knows?

Let’s pitch in all our ideas over the next few weeks and see what gets traction.

These events always involve food and drink and are a chance to celebrate where we’ve got to and how we arrived – and generally get together and enjoy ourselves.

I’ve set up a poll which will close on Tuesday 26th June at midnight. Please get your diaries out and click all the dates that work for you. If there are some very good reasons for not having it on one of the dates please let us know.

This will be a co-production of @events, @welcome, @marketing and as many members as possible. If you’re keen to get involved in this (and/or future events) let us know as we’re keen to bring new members into the above-mentioned teams.

Pride in London is on the 7th July so perhaps we should avoid this date for inclusivity reasons.

Also Lovebox festival is on the 14th in Brockwell Park and Lambeth Country Show on the 21st so we should probably also avoid these dates.

EDIT: Looks like they’ve relocated Lovebox and citadel to Gunnersbury park

Perhaps totally irrelevant or extremely optimistic but Sat 7th is quarter finals of world cup and following week is 3rd place play off.
