I came into the space this morning to find a solvent/ glue smell in clean room. Then realised the door to the messy room was propped open and the smell was stronger in there.
With some help on telegram from Tom L I turned the extractor on for about 30 mins.
Does anyone know what caused the smell and was the extraction on. Was it something drying.
If someone finds a strong smell of solvents in the space it’s good practice for them to alert us rather than ignore it. Also it raised the issue that most members probably don’t know how to turn on the extraction.
Glueing and other making activitues of course can have harmless smells associated with them but many solvents do present a health risk and need good ventilation to male their use safe. So better to err on the side of caution.
