I’m looking to potentially add a small screen to my electronic bagpipes - however I only have a space on board of 15mm*70mm.
I don’t really have any knowledge of screens so was wondering if anyone had any ideas? OLED/LCD etc is all greek to me and haven’t found much googling.

Also the wemos mini has an OLED shield that makes an tiny ready to use package if you don’t need too many io pins

I’ve ordered an https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/oled-displays/8235948/?sra=pstk which looks promising although yet to figure out the best way to connect to it -thinking soldering but unsure whether it will like a soldering iron or hot air.
Depends if the plastic is Mylar or not. Some flat flex connections are melty as they’re designed to be inserted rather than soldered.
Yep, it’d be better getting an FPC connector and soldering that to your board to connect it with. Although, briefly looking at the datasheet shows finding such a connector is non-trivial!
That brand of products sells driver boards for these products normally.

This is an oled with esp8266 (Arduino compatible) in one unit. Far easier than trying to drive the unit yourself…

Do you know what the display is? Clearly going to add one to my esp32 project board.
Managed to solder it, the datasheet suggested it was possible but didn’t give a method so just used an iron and plenty of flux! Very messy but pleased for a prototype. The integrated voltage generator is very helpful.
