Safe / wall thingy or other

So from the cutlery post it was raised that we want some kind of cabinet to put xyz in.
Including prepaid debit card for (emergency) sundries blah blah.

What do we want?
-Like a cash box (guessing not)
-Wall mounted key holder type thing(can be used for other stuff too)
-more of a safe? (Is the broken one repairable or written off? Or for other purpose?)
-any other?

Are there other things that need going in this “thing”?
-pre paid cards
-maybe some keys?
-keys to the MakerspaceCopter
-lost and found? Like if a phone was found.

Had a little look round. These where a tenner.
Seem ok. Has a combi lock.

Is it worth doing this with access control?

It would be easy enough to put a solenoid on a metal box and an RFID reader to control access and importantly keep a log of access.

Logging acces to the magic box o’fun sounds like a good idea.
