Not sure if you were all aware but the 858D hot air wand was broken- the wire that makes up the heating element in the head was broken.
I’ve reconnected this now and returned it to full working order however its a little delicate so be careful when using it, my feeling is that this is only a stop gap measure and will not prevent the inevitable as it now requires the temperature to be set quite high to be effective.
The @electrotechs will look into procuring a replacement, happy to entertain any ideas other than just buying another on Ebay!
