PROPOSAL: Three week bin system

Just need to figure out where it will live…

Near the door? Near the read bin?

Attach some castors so it’s easy to move, and see if it finds a natural home?

Sorry, that’s exactly what I meant

So, shall we buy it?

This is a proposal to be discussed and voted on at the members meeting next week on Tuesday 26th.

If someone wants to get an idea of costs — and importantly propose a trial location for it — we can potentially make a quick decision at the meeting.

Cost: £50 max

Location: Behind the door by the toilet.

I took responsibility to action this at the last members meeting.
One question, can I arrange delivery to the space?

If you can arrange to be there to receive it…

Thanks and amazing news!

Typical. You wait ages and then three turn up at once.

Hi all,

I cleared out all these bins less than a month ago, and they are all pretty much full again.

The 3 week bin system was approved in the Jan 2018 members’ meeting, but it has since fallen into disrepair where there is no one actually rotating the bins.

So question to you all, does someone want to take charge of the bins and actually rotate them?

There tends to be a lot of e-waste in them which will need to be disposed of properly every time as well (nearest place seems to be Currys in Brixton).

If no one steps up, I propose we convert the bins into simple ‘Lost and Found’ bins that get periodically cleared monthly on the 1st of the month and we stop pretending someone will actually rotate them.

Thoughts?
Andy

two cents - we need to split lost items in those bins somehow from “noone wants it, i’ll make it a giveaway”

If we do that we would need to make 2 distinct areas, not just those 3 bins as I think that would be too confusing and things would end up in the wrong one…
