Hello all metalworkers

Please note that @VintageSteel and myself have put a lot of effort in organising and improving the prediction tooling drawers.

See below

STANDS AND ACCESSORIES DRAWER

 ![PXL_20260928_212442727](https://slms-discourse.s3.dualstack.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/original/3X/6/b/6b10555f9d3fb65ea749c9b88b335102c79534f8.jpeg)

Note that despite being less delicate, these accessories are still quite expensive and indispensable for properly setting up clocks and indicators.
Please return them to this drawer after use, clean, complete, and in the closed position.

METROLOGY DRAWER

 ![PXL_20260928_212341224](https://slms-discourse.s3.dualstack.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/original/3X/f/8/f883bc6dacf3b323871edc9f27ee38d56d7f9017.jpeg)

Everything in this drawer expensive ( even the little accessories in the blue box) and is madly delicate, a drop even from about 5 inches height is more than enough to kill a clock or bend and dent the height gauge.
Please be incredibly careful when handling.
Please do not put anything in here that doesn’t have a cut out for it to avoid impacts when opening and closing the drawer.
Note that the clocks and dial indicators are NOT coolant safe.
Lastly, report any damage to the [@metaltechs](https://discourse.southlondonmakerspace.org/groups/metaltechs) promptly! You know the score, we are not going to get mad, but we need to know!

I will update this post with the other drawers later on.

As usual any comments or feedbacks are welcome 😊

Keep making wonderful things!

Can I also add that… if you do not know what these precision tool do or how to handle them, please 🙏please 🙏 do not use them. Instead simply reach out to the [@metaltechs](https://discourse.southlondonmakerspace.org/groups/metaltechs). They are not easy tools to use properly and a little guidance will make all the difference to you and save the tools from damage ✔ Thanks…
