And I’m pretty happy about that, there are a lot of families and people who want to get involved in electronics but they don’t have childcare , so, I would like to raise the topic once again.
The only problem I can see is the adult to children ratio, ideally the parents are going to be distracted , and would be great if we can have more eyes on the kids.
Sounds like a great idea - family electronics day!
Maybe we should take up the suggestion of @welcome of a family friendly day once a month, rather than just an electronics one.

I think a family friendly day is a good idea. I guess the kids would only be able to stay in the clean area. So electronic is perhaps the only option. It’s important to have some sort of structured day but what structure should be is open to debate.
I like this idea. Specifically as a couple of members have kindly 3D printed and metal-lathed some toy parts to help me fix my son’s toy helicopter. Having family days like this would allow me to bring the lad along to get involved in the repair process himself, or at least see it happen. A great way to get the next generation hooked on making/repairing. Plus a great way to fix kids toys rather than them ending up as landfill.
