Open rail data meetup

So it seems like a few people here are across the open rail data feeds that one can get from Network Rail and National rail enquiries, as well as TfL.

Being under a railway, we are technically railway neighbors, and therefore something of a stakeholder in such things.

Might it be worth having a meet up to share experience and/or tips and tricks? And maybe work on some stuff for the space that uses the APIs together (like a way of knowing what train is currently causing the place to vibrate).

I’d propose a Monday evening every 2 weeks or so…

@ntsbmvnk @unknowndomain @pip for starters

I’d be down for that, definitely.

Free from 6:30pm most evenings, if that helps in planning.

Yep can do this coming Monday if others can?

@Tom_Hampshire?

I’ll be up for coming along.

This coming Monday won’t work for me - away with family Sunday/Monday because Easter.

Hey guys,
I’m not available this Monday as away for family stuff. I imagine I’ll be of more help with analysis of the accelerometer sensor data, but happy to report back as part of a group meeting.

Awesome!

Since Easter seems a bad time and too short notoxe, shall we do the first one on 1st May? Or are bank holidays bad?

I’ll put a thread in Events and get it on the calendar
