We’ve capped membership, and now we’ve suspended open evenings as members understandably felt uncomfortable showing visitors round without prospect of joining. Yet we want to still be open and welcoming to the MakerCurious out there
The answer is a series of open house events
What these are is up to us:
- family make day?
- a version of open evening, but with added structure? Perhaps a making activity or demo?
- some kind of targeted outreach?
- movie screening
- print a bag workshop
- robot wars…
- whatever your imagination comes up with
A member could take on the task of organising a series of these, or groups could choose to run individual events, perhaps showcasing differesnt aspects of SLMS?
Note: we may well have an open house aspect to our Summer Party
