Offer: network/cisco workshop

Hi All

I’d suggested elsewhere that I’d be open to running a workshop session teaching people the first steps of networking with Cisco routers.

Just a poll to see if there’s any interest and we could do it over a weekend afternoon or perhaps an evening later in the month.

I suppose the format would be suited to say four or so people, we’d put some routers together and I’d show you how to get started with them.

Let me know and if there’s any takers we’ll pick a date.

I’m thinking of covering:

  1. Basics of interfaces
  2. Basics of routes
  3. Connecting via console
  4. Connecting via ssh
  5. Basics of configuration and status
  6. Editing config and saving

Is there anything in particular any of you would want me to add (or remove)?

It has occurred to me that next Saturday is the 25th of June. Did you mean Saturday the 25th, or Sunday the 26th of June?
