Hi all, just wondering if any woodworkers are around today/tomorrow and would be able to induct/help me out with some basic cuts on the Mitre saw? Simply cutting timber to length, should be quick. I’m new to the space and haven’t managed to fit in a woodwork induction but I’ve used similar saws on sites before for context.

Hi Mike,
The mitre saw is part of the basic induction. Unfortunately we can’t sign you off on just one tool without the rest of the induction (which includes some important general H/S and etiquette talk), regardless of prior experience.
That being said you can of course get other an inducted member to do it for you. If you don’t get a response here I’d suggest coming in on any day and you’ll almost certainly find someone ready to help. Anyone you find using the woodshop is inducted on the mitre saw.
