All three sets of digital calipers are missing. They each come in a black plastic box.
Could we:
a) Designate an offical place for them. Previously this was on the metal tech bench above the mills but the metal area storage shelves might be a better place (metal techs ?). They have not been returned to this spot and are nowhere to be found in the space.
b) If you know where they are, return them to the metal bench or shelving area.
Digital calipers are a very expensive tool. Can’t believe we’re lucky to have 3! Please love this benefit that none of us have at home and put em back safely
Accurate enough for woodwork - I have a set of Sealey which are in a similar price bracket and they are pretty consistent and well within limits for wood.
It’s a ridiculous situation that I and at least one other member have to bring our own lidl digital calipers in because there’s 3 empty boxes plus one poundland job.
Actually I had 2 poundland plastic jobs which are alright to 1.0mm if you’re gentle with them. Until a bottle of super glue leaked and killed one. Still determined to revive it with super glue remover one day.
A quick look on Ebay from UK including postage (China a bit cheaper):
I have 3 I’m donating to the electronics area when I’m next in, it’s taken some time for the ones I ordered to come in from china. I did bring in 2 with me on thursday but I forgot about them.
These are just the extremely cheapo plastic 0.1mm accuracy ones, but they work fine.
