Last Thursday I managed to get a couple of servos respond to MIDI automation really simply using firmata running on an Arduino and a maxMSP patch called Maxuino. As I write my music mainly in Ableton Live, for sequencing music, the set up is pretty straightforward.
I’d like to look next at more of the mechanical side of things now that the software bridge is fairly simple.
I have proposed Tuesdays nights as music maker night if you fancy we can consider the options for some instruments then.

Karl you should look to switch to the Arduino Leonardo it has USB Midi support so it will talk directly with Ableton.
