I’ve got 4 plywood cabinet doors I salvaged from freecycle. Not sure the exact dimensions, but may be perfect for the kitchen? @boldaslove if you can measure up to see what size the doors need to be and I’ll check the doors I’ve got when I get a chance to drag them out of the shed.
They’re plain plywood doors. Beech, I think. They feel like they’ve been oiled or lightly varnished. I think they’ll be too narrow to be fair, but if not, I can bring them down anyway. If general consensus is that they’re not suitable, no worries. They’ll end up as shelves or something similar as originally intended!
@dermot do you still have that spare hippo skip?
I think there’s enough stuff for one of those today.
We could get that outside sorted and tidy up the space a bit.
If you need to get one then go for it. Bear in mind that it’s a very expensive way of getting rid of light stuff, but is our only real option for heavy and really bulky items.
Let me know if you get one and I’ll arrange the collection.
P.S. we have Quantum waste for picking up sawdust and wood offcuts – clear bags under kitchen counter.
The only other option would be taking to a skip but a lot of the stuff is pretty gross, hard to put in a car, and I think need A utility bill these days to use a recycling centre.
Logistically we would need a car, mines full, and a Lambeth utility bill.
West Norwood is open till 5pm today.
If someone can get us a Lambeth utility bill we could use Esther’s car but think the hippo might be more acheievable today.
