Lathe tool rest

Hi @metaltechs I’m planning to make a tool rest for the new lathe. Similar to the one here:

It’s definitely useful but also a good excuse to refresh my skills on the metal lathe, especially for turning the 1” post and cutting internal threads.

I can do the rest with the pillar drill, small CNC or small milling machines.

Are any of you around this evening? I’d just need a quick refresher on the metal lathe, last time I used it was the previous model.
