Guys and Girls.
I just accidently on purpose bought one of these: http://www.canon.co.uk/for_work/products/professional_print/large_format/ipf650/
Given that the plotter seems to be somewhat broken, possibly fixable, but definitively antique.
Consider it a gift? / permanent loan / something?

Crikey. That would be a very generous gift indeed! Thank you so much

It’s used, but in very good condition I believe. In a former life I used to work with this range of LFPs at Canon. They’re really very good.

The great thing with Canon inkjets is the separate print head and cartridge. Makes ink much cheaper.
In these guys, the ink-cartriges are literally 1l tanks as well…

I used to use that exact one at my last job! Very good quality… it can do almost photographic quality on the gloss paper (gloss is quite expensive though) but even the standard stuff is excellent.

Sorry to disappoint. The seller turns out to be a country gentleman and this fell though when I went to collect.

This reads like a euphemism
Yes, a euphemism…
I am however, still trying to obtain one. I have a few leads.
I think I’ve found a imagePROGRAF® W8400 (http://www.canon.co.uk/for_work/products/professional_print/large_format/w8400/ ) that probably needs a new black printhead for relatively little moneys.
This might be too big though…
I’m not sure my heart can take this
