Labels for power sockets

It can be hard to find power sockets in the space . I suggest the default is that it is OK to unplug anything unless they have a sticker

  • Red (say), Must not be unplugged, eg a computer.
  • Blue . A power block so worth checking what is hanging off it.

I have done a prototype on the block by social area. Hand cut from vinyl cutter offcuts.

Side effect - should make it easier to spot daisy chained power blocks

It would be easy / good to upgrade from hand-cut to robo-cut, so they can be iconic as well as colour-coded.

50-50 - my thinking was the handcut might be more likely to happen.
Any suggestions for icons. A power block with holes to plug in might be a bit of a fiddle?

Also the vinyl cutter is quite good at producing offcuts! But since realised that if you are careful you can put a half used piece back in cutter.
