Does anyone know how to use Kicad? and would any of you be prepared to show me?

Assuming you absolutely have your heart set on kicad and no one else comes forward, I can get you through the very basics but I’m no expert on kicad by any stretch of the imagination. In fact Joe and I have had a lengthy chat about EDA tools recently and he nearly tempted me over to the dark side.

PCB design coming to Fusion 360 in the near future, I believe

I think that they have bought eagle.
It’s going to take a lot of work to fix that…

That explains it then? So they won’t need to start from scratch.
Interesting though: at the moment the 'permanent free trial: the offer to hobbyists and smaller startups has all features unlocked.
they also have a very generous academic licence as well.

yeah, but 3 years, whenever you feel like it, and you can renew. They also give you pretty much every Autodesk product (which is less exciting if you’re a Mac user - very windows centric, but still)
Giving it away has always been the only way to persuaded people to use it .
My 15 year old version of easy pc still makes eagle look clunky

I’ve done KiCad! In fact I was offereing to run a workshop in SLMS at some point this year. I need to get up to speed with the latest version, but I can do the basics…
