Hi makers! I thought I’d just post some of the things that I made recently - hope you find this somewhat entertaining. And maybe encourage some others to post their projects ![]()
I’m following a distance learning course in watchmaking / clockmaking, and most of these things are practice pieces as part of the course.
Hand removal levers: These are tools I made from steel rods that are used to remove the hands of a watch.
Watchmakers screwdriver stand: A simple little block of brass that can hold my tiny screwdrivers, with a straight grain finish.
Engineers square: Yes, there is quite an obvious mark on it that I created when giving it the final straight grain finish ![]()
Stand for needle files: Kind of the same as the screwdriver holder, but made of steel. Took me 8 hours to do the finishing, and it’s still not very good.
Countersink and oilsink toolbits: Made on the lathe. Thank you SLMS! This wouldn’t have been possible without you ![]()
Watch repair: This was the watch that I got from my grandparents as a kid and now I got it running again so my nephew can wear it ![]()
