I still don’t have access to the shutter yet, i’m looking to do some laser cutting, and minor woodwork .
Can do anytime, although ideally after 4pm.

I’d vouch foir your Christian. There must be one other?
It’s 50/50 if I can be there late afternoon. Anyone else?
@tomnewsom Trustees can’t vouch.
@cjjharries We don’t really have the space for woodworking during the construction but soon!
Yeah I figured as much, by ‘minor woodwork’ I pretty much meant cutting a piece of wood, drilling a few holes and putting stuff together.
I know @stefanoromano could prob vouch for me but you need 2 people right? When is the space next going to be free to use?
I might be there by 5pm tonight.
Don’t worry about it, i’ve shifted a things around and it looks like i’ll be able to come down on Wednesday night.
Before you just said this, trustees have been vouching. Is there any particular rationale for why trustees cannot vouch for members? Is it an actual rule, given that two out of three trustees did not even seem aware of it?
Yes, we’re looking into it!
It’s a conversation we’ve had before and there are a great number of people I’ve not vouched for because this is what we agreed but they don’t remember.
Yes. I’m happy to vouch for members, once I’ve seen them around the space and got to know them a bit.
The ‘thinking’ was that trustees might feel pressurised to vouch for members. And I vaguely remember it coming up in discussion.
In my opinion it should be equal ‘vouching’ rights for everyone.
Progress tonight…
We lay the floor down temporarily good side down, in the hopes that we can protect it but make a working area for the final push.
We managed to get all the big materials out the way, and setup the area for ongoing works, it just needs another push tomorrow night to get it clear, swept, and PVA’d ready for Wednesday night block laying contest.
Thursday, friday and saturday for the frame work and insulation, and Sunday the floor.
@joeatkin2 wants to put the frame for the wall in next, and I am planning to help @dermot with the kitchen wall this week too.
Who is around this week @members?
Tom not only risked braking his camera lens taking a photo of me he also worked like a dog while me and Stefano procrastinated smoking fags and drinking tea.
Adam also did a fantastic job tidying up before i got there .
We hopefully will be finished soon .
That was not procrastination, was deep thinking about matter of life and makerspace well being! Fags and tea were just a side plate! hahahha
(well… maybe it was a little bit! Sorry Tom! )
