Interesting article on Makerspaces

So, anything people see in there of note?

Things wot stood out to me

  • the comment about keeping a ‘slightly alkali’ culture so the acidic types don’t grow / leave of their accord over time. That’s something that we’ve striven for quite consciously I think, though I’ve been worrying about cultural things a bit lately which does touch (ever so slightly) on this.
  • the professions to do the professional work, ie. lawyer, accountant. @pip’s comment elsewhere about getting a one-day a week administrator type person struck a chord with me (I ran a festival / arts org years ago…)

not read it yet but its on the list along with the paper about demographics involved in stem / makerspaces.
